Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule available
* Block schedule approved
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 with 10-bed unit
* Daily census of 8 patients
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, chronic/acute renal failure management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, GI surgery, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac drips, titrating vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This healthcare facility is a well-equipped intensive care unit offering comprehensive critical care services to adult and geriatric patients. The unit maintains a low patient-to-nurse ratio to ensure quality care and is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and provides access to a full range of specialty support services to meet complex patient needs.
