Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule
* Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Unit capacity of 36 rooms and 50 beds with a daily census of 18-25 patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience, peripheral and PICC line management, post MI care, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry monitoring (unit and remote), total joint replacement, tracheostomy care/management, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac

The unit supports a wide range of patient diagnoses and is equipped with robust interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and rapid response teams. The facility maintains a well-staffed telemetry and medical-surgical unit designed to provide high-quality care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
