Job Details:

* Work in an endoscopy unit averaging 45-65 cases daily across 8 procedure rooms
* Perform and assist with a wide range of GI procedures including basic EGDs and colonoscopies as well as complex interventional GI cases such as ERCP, EUS, POEMs, and cystgastrostomy
* Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations
* Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
* Every other weekend required
* No call required
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Self-scheduling
* Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
* Holiday work required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills: Administering Conscious Sedation, Bronchoscopy, Circulate, Colonoscopy, EGD, Inpatient, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Monitoring Conscious Sedation, Outpatient Endoscopy, Pre/Post Procedure, Recovering Conscious Sedation, Specimen Handling/Labeling
* 20 orientation hours required
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation

This healthcare facility operates a high-volume endoscopy unit running 8 procedure rooms and averaging 45-65 cases daily. The unit supports both inpatient and outpatient procedures and is staffed with respiratory therapists who assist with bronchoscopies and GI technicians who assist across the full range of GI procedures. All cases are supported by an in-house anesthesia group, ensuring comprehensive procedural care and a collaborative clinical environment.
