Opportunity:

ER RN needed

Job Details:

* 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Weekdays with every other weekend coverage required, including holidays
* No call, charge, or float responsibilities
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse across days, nights, and weekends
* 9-room/9-bed emergency department with a daily census of 40 patients
* Treats all patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, WV License, NIHSS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
* Required skills include IV start, triage, arterial line management, blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs, management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, and general emergency department care (combined adult/pedi)
* Scrub color: Burgundy
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
* Small ED experience preferred
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy

This emergency department facility operates a 9-bed unit serving a diverse patient population across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The department maintains a daily census of 40 patients and is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified, demonstrating a commitment to high-acuity emergency care and patient outcomes.
