Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend coverage required
* Holiday coverage required
* No call, charge, or float responsibilities
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 9-bed emergency department with a daily census of 40
* Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* 2+ years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
* Small ED experience preferred
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers are not accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, WV License
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
* Required skills include IV start, triage, interpretation of dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, management of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Scrub color: burgundy
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy

Facility:

This emergency department operates a 9-bed unit with a daily census of 40 patients, providing comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages. The facility is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The unit utilizes Cerner as its charting system and maintains certifications as both a STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility, reflecting a commitment to high-quality emergency care.
