Job Details:

* Work 4x12 mid shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
* Holiday coverage required
* No call, charge, or float requirements
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Must reside within 75-mile radius
* 2+ years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
* Small ED experience preferred
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers are NOT accepted
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, WV License
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
* Required skills include IV start, triage, phlebotomy, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, care of ventilated patients, and central line care/management
* Must be comfortable treating patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Scrub color: burgundy
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy

Facility:

This emergency department operates within a community hospital setting featuring a 9-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 40 patients. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The department treats patients across all age groups and manages a wide range of emergency conditions from general medical cases to complex trauma situations.
