Open Position: RN - Orthopedics

Opportunity:

RN - Ortho

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Ortho unit located on the 7th floor NW Tower of the main hospital building
* Unit consists of 30 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
* Work alongside 1 charge nurse, 4-6 bedside RNs, and 2-4 PCTs per shift
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital as an Ortho RN required
* BLS certification required
* Med/Surg experience preferred
* ACLS certification preferred
* Perform IV starts, Foley and straight catheterization, CPM application, and early mobilization procedures
* Operate CPM (continuous passive motion) equipment for specialty surgeries, nerve block pumps, and On-Q balls
* Work with EMR system Meditech (prior experience preferred)
* Care for a diverse patient population including elective orthopedic and ortho trauma patients
* Positive attitude and team player mentality required
