Opportunity:

RN - OB

Job Details:

* Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
* Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care
* Provide care for patients from birth to elderly with age-specific considerations and cultural diversity
* Administer treatments, medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient/family education
* Supervise unit secretaries and OB Techs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
* Utilize fetal monitor, Datascope, and other medical equipment as required
* Proficient oral and written communication skills required
* Minimum 1-2 years of recent OB experience preferred
* Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
* Alaska Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
* National Certification in Obstetrics preferred
* Knowledge of AWHONN standards required
* Must be flexible with work schedule and capable of independent actions within prescribed limits
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
