Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Mid-shift schedule with hours ranging from as early as 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM to as late as 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
* Every third weekend required
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center required
* Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department
* Utilize equipment including Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
* Document using Meditech documentation system
* Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
* Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage required
* Floating policy is rare and only occurs if other staff have been flexed home
* Follow patient experience requirements including use of AIDET and whiteboards
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, TCRN
* Kansas RN license required
* Required dress code: Cobalt blue solid color top with black or cobalt blue solid color pants and closed-toe shoes

Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center featuring a 24-bed Emergency Department with unit secretary coverage 21 hours per day and a core nursing staff. The facility maintains a positive, can-do culture focused on patient experience and utilizes modern medical equipment to support comprehensive emergency and trauma care. Advanced specialty services including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care are available to support the emergency department team.
