Job Details:
* 17-week contract for holiday coverage
* Shift times available: Days 7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM, Mids 10:00 AM?10:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:00 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 1:00 PM?1:00 AM, 2:00 PM?2:00 AM, Evenings 3:00 PM?3:00 AM, Nights 7:00 PM?7:00 AM
* Every other weekend rotation required; flexibility needed as back-to-back weekends may occasionally occur
* No on-call or floating requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a large-volume, high-acuity emergency department required
* First-time travelers will not be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
* EMR: Epic experience required
* Must be proficient in barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, and blood product administration
* Triage experience required; must pass hospital's Triage Test before being permitted to triage
* Must be able to set up chest tubes and arterial lines and assist with trauma and code cases
* Skills required include splinting, BiPAP/ventilator management, and a strong understanding of ESI
* Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred; Point of Care Lab experience is a plus
* Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric, including pediatrics (medical and trauma), stroke (administer TNK), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health and substance use disorder patients
* Level III trauma center handling the busiest ED in the state; responsible for stabilizing and transferring neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, and high-acuity pediatric patients
* Patient ratios: 1:3?5 based on acuity; ED is organized in zones with a 13-bed fast track green zone
* Scrub color: Any color, no logos

This is a 226-bed Level III non-profit community hospital featuring a 34-bed emergency department that sees 200?250 patients per day. The facility operates as the busiest emergency department in the state and provides comprehensive care across multiple specialties, including trauma, pediatrics, stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health services. The emergency department is organized into zones to support efficient and high-quality patient care across a wide range of acuity levels.
