RN - General Patient Care

Job Details:

* Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations
* Revise standard of care as indicated by patient response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness
* Formulate teaching plans based upon identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning, including family as appropriate
* Assess and reassess pain management techniques and educate patients and families regarding pain management
* Demonstrate ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure
* Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills
* Communicate appropriately and clearly with Nurse Manager, co-workers, and physicians
* Consult other departments as appropriate to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient needs
* Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity while ensuring patient confidentiality
* Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families
* Function as liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers
* Maintain thorough and accurate documentation that meets current standards and policies
* Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly
* Coordinate and supervise patient care as necessary within licensure
* Position requires a quick start availability
