Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac/Tele Stepdown

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with both day (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) options available
* Night shift with weekends as scheduled
* Every-other-weekend requirement, Saturday and Sunday for both day and night shifts
* Work in a 29-bed Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Care for cardiac patients including CR bands, post cath, AMI, post-op lung surgeries, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post PCI patients
* Must be able to titrate drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro up to 50 mcg
* Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors
* CNA support available with a ratio of approximately 1 CNA per 12 patients
* Charge nurse available 24/7; day charge nurse does not take patients, night charge nurse does take patients
* Respiratory therapy manages CPAP and BiPap equipment
* Float to MedSurg/Tele units as needed
* Charting completed using EPIC system
* Royal blue scrubs required
* No false nails permitted
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Trauma Level 2 acute care setting

The unit operates as a stepdown environment with comprehensive monitoring capabilities and 24/7 charge nurse support. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic charting and maintains modern telemetry monitoring equipment to support high-quality patient care across day and night shifts.
