Ambulatory OR RN

Job Details:

* Schedule options: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM 7:00 PM) or 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday
* One late week per every 4 weeks to complete cases
* No weekends required
* No on-call required
* No major holidays required
* Possibility of floating within the Perioperative facility
* Traveler may be called off one shift per 2-week period; hours can be broken up to equal one shift
* May be required to precept a care team member in the operating room
* 9 operating rooms within the unit
* Patient population: adults only; 1:1 patient ratio
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* 2+ years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN License
* Preferred experience: Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology
* Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
* Special equipment includes: Lasers (Ophthalmology, ENT, GU, GYN), Mini C-Arm, Storz video towers, Arthrex arthroscopy towers, Neptune suction/smoke evacuation system, beach chair bed attachments, and Allen stirrups
* Interdisciplinary support available: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* Patient diagnoses include: total joint replacements (excluding hips), joint arthroscopies, hands, foot and ankle, podiatry, plastics, surgical oncology breast, endocrine (excluding adrenal), ENT, OMFS, adult dental special needs, ophthalmology, minimally invasive surgery, GU, GYN, pain, and colorectal

This facility is a well-established academic medical center operating a 9-room ambulatory operating room unit that handles a wide variety of surgical specialties. The unit provides comprehensive perioperative care with access to advanced surgical equipment and strong interdisciplinary support services.
