Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience working in an ER setting required
* First time travelers accepted in this department
* Shift rotation schedule with every other weekend required
* Scheduled 4 weeks at a time
* Work in a 19-bed ER department seeing approximately 170 patients per day
* Patient ratio is 1:4, unless assigned an ICU or step-down patient
* Charge RN available in department and does not take a patient assignment
* Break nurses available and do not take patient assignments
* See a wide variety of patients from young to vulnerable patient populations
* High acuity traumas include MVAs, penetrating wounds, gunshots, and falls; travelers will not be assigned trauma patients
* Charting system: Meditech; WOWs provided to each RN for charting
* Medication administration via Pyxis; IV pumps: Solaris
* Scrubs: Any color of professional scrubs; no other facility logos permitted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS issued through American Heart Association; TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
* California RN license required
* Must complete Pyxis MedStation ES and BD Pyxis Med Link modules prior to start
