Opportunity:

MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on the unit
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required
* Block schedule requests can be submitted prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIHSS preferred
* Telemetry competency required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Epic charting system; experience preferred
* Royal Blue scrubs required
* No parking cost
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include Diabetes, HTN, CAD, Seizure, CVA, TIA, and CRD
* Key skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, wound care, tracheostomy care, and pre/post cardiac cath management
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds and a Level III Trauma designation. The facility operates a 43-bed MS/Tele unit with a daily census of approximately 36 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
