Job Details:

* Work a combination of shifts including two 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM?3:00 PM) and two 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM?7:00 PM) on days, with afternoon options available (9:00 AM?9:30 PM or 10:30 AM?11:00 PM for 12-hour shifts)
* Evening shift schedule with occasional weekends and holidays
* Travelers are expected to work at least 1-2 weekend shifts; weekend shifts are 12-hour blocks from 6:30 AM?7:00 PM or 10:30 AM?11:00 PM
* Travelers are required to take 20-30 hours of standby call per 4-week period with a 30-minute call response time
* 8 hours of weekly call required
* Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Must be able to circulate independently
* Scrubbing is not required for RNs
* Facility handles an average of 80?120 cases per day across 33 OR suites
* Service lines include orthopedics (major joints, spines, sports medicine, trauma), neurosurgery (craniotomies and spines), Xi Robotics (surgical oncology, urology, GYN), bariatric, ENT (head and neck free flaps, reconstruction, and basic ENT), and ophthalmology (retina, cataracts, oculoplasty)
* Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 poly trauma response
* Floating may occur between 5 North and 2 West depending on experience
* Charting system: EPIC OP-Time
* Scrubs are provided
* Orientation provided for both units totaling 2?3 shifts, including EPIC orientation
* Equipment includes Bovie machines, forced air warmers, Neptune suction, drill consoles, Xi Robotics, LigaSure, and Argon Beam
* Required certification: BLS
* BSN not required
* Valid state license required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large surgical department with 33 total OR suites spanning two locations within the same system. As a Level I Trauma Center, the facility provides 24/7 poly trauma response and supports a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics-assisted surgery, bariatrics, ENT, and ophthalmology. The department is supported by a Charge Nurse 24/7 and utilizes EPIC OP-Time for electronic medical records, with OR technicians also on staff.
