RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work in a 22-bed emergency room unit with additional vertical space for overflow patients
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 nurses, 1 tech, and 1 medic
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 nurses, 1 secretary, and 1 tech/medic
* Every other weekend required, with at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday within a 4-week schedule
* No on-call required
* Strong IV skills with both adults and pediatric patients required
* Excellent communication skills required
* Trauma experience and TNCC preferred
* Meditech (EDM) EMR experience preferred
* Perform typical ER procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, code stroke protocol, code sepsis protocol, and suture/abscess setup
* Work with Phillips and GE Monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment
* May float to a freestanding emergency department approximately 15 minutes away
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI
* Dress code: Teal top with black or teal bottoms
