RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

* 13 to 26 week contract options available
* Position consists of 4 ten-hour shifts per week
* Shifts are routinely scheduled Monday through Friday and Sundays
* Shift hours rotate between 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
* One call weekend required every 5 weeks
* One call shift per week and one late stay shift per week required
* Sunday shift counts as one of the four scheduled days for that week
* 1:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
* 25 visits per day with 4 procedure rooms
* Patients treated include adults and geriatrics
* 1 year of recent experience in unit required
* Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills include: ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, Emergency Medications, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, Interventional Catheterizations, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV Vasopressors, Left Heart Catheterization, Pacemaker/Defibrillator Lead Extraction/Removal, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring, Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablator Atherectomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Ventricular Assist Device Insertion, and Watchman Procedure
* Special equipment used includes: IVUS, OCT, FFR, Impella, IABP, Penumbra, Rotablator, and Shockwave
* Must be able to perform all cases in a Cath Lab
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units they are qualified for
* If 26-week contract: required to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day); time off requests are not permitted December 26 through December 31
