Opportunity:
Radiology Technologist - CT/X-Ray, Emergency Room
Job Details:
* Work in a 12-bed freestanding emergency room with a 7-bed vertical fast track area
* 36-hour work week with rotating weekends and holidays
* No on-call requirements
* Patient ratios of 4-8 patients per nurse with an average of 80 patients per day and 100+ during winter surge
* Ability to work independently covering both CT and X-ray modalities, often as single staff coverage for both
* Operate GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray equipment
* Document using Meditech and Sectra systems
* Perform normal emergency room procedures, no surgical procedures or biopsies
* Advanced skills required for Acute Stroke Ready cases and moderate pediatric volume
* Floating to other units is not required
* Must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
* Must have Virginia license or compact license at time of submission
* Required certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT
* Required dress code: Grey scrubs
* Professional, friendly, and strong communication skills required
