Job Details:

* Work in an Acute Care unit at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC
* Care for patients across multiple levels of care including Med-Surg and ICU
* Patient ratios: SD/ICU 2-4:1; Med-Surg 5-6:1 with 2-3 PCT on floor as appropriate
* Unit operates on a Team-Based Care model with daily interdisciplinary meetings involving MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacist, and PT/OT
* Day and night shifts available with 1 Charge/CNC, 4-5 RNs/LPNs, and 2-3 NAs per shift
* Weekend rotation required: 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week scheduling period
* Holiday shifts per staffing matrix
* Perform typical procedures including IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care
* Utilize equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis (nurses only)
* EMR system: Cerner
* Float area: TCU
* Required certification: BLS (must be completed prior to end of orientation); ACLS required prior to end of orientation
* ICU/Stepdown experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience preferred
* Must be able to function in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for nurses; galaxy/royal blue scrubs for NAs

The unit is a 30-bed Acute Care floor staffed by 40+ team members and operates under a collaborative, team-based care model.
