Opportunity:
Urology Medical Assistant (MA-C or MA-R)
Job Details:
* Schedule: 4x9-hour shifts plus 1x4-hour shift, Monday through Friday with weekends off
* Four days per week: 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
* One day per week: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (half day alternates depending on the MD's OR day)
* No on-call or weekend requirements
* Required to float to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays
* Reliable personal transportation required - public transportation is not accepted
* Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) preferred; Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) with experience in a procedural-heavy clinic such as Urology, Otolaryngology, or Dermatology will be considered
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting required
* Experience in a procedural-heavy clinic is ideal
* Patients seen: General urology; approximately 18 visits per day
* Required skills include obtaining vital signs, recording patient history/medications/allergies, and rooming patients
* Must be proficient in setting up and assisting with procedures including cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, bladder scans (PVRS), and maintaining a sterile field
* Specimen collection and labeling required
* Special equipment: Trophon, Ultrasound Bx machine, and Bladder Scanner
* Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
* Scrubs provided
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
