RN - OR

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM with rotating days off
* Weekday and weekend call required
* Call response time is 30 minutes
* General on-call requirement is approximately every 7th weekend with no call during the week
* Two specialty call teams (ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic) - travelers may cover specialty call only if cases are within their competency
* Weekend coverage required approximately once per quarter
* Facility operates 19 suites with 55-60 cases per day and approximately 1,000 cases per month
* Full-service facility performing all procedures except major pediatrics and transplants; functions as a level 2 trauma center with some ortho/neuro trauma and robotics
* No C-sections performed in the main OR
* Scrubbing is preferred but not required for RNs
* OR Techs must hold CST certification
* Scrubs are provided
* One week of floor-specific orientation provided
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* BSN not required
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience required with basic competency in almost every service
* Must be reliable, flexible, and have good attendance
* Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience; if rated a 3, must be proficient
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius from the hospital based on the address on your driver's license
