Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts
* Call required - typically one weekday/call per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
* Floating within facility and to Main OR as needed within scope of practice
* Weekend shifts rotate per contract schedule
* No self-scheduling; block schedules not honored
* Travel pairs not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Charting system experience required; Epic charting system used
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services and interpretation services
* Required skills include: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Mitral Valve Replacement, MAZE Procedure, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), VATS, Thoracotomy, Lobe Resection, Carotid Endarterectomy, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Angioplasty, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Arteriovenous Fistula Repair, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Thoracic Surgery, and Scrub Vascular Surgery
* GA or Compact nursing license required
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or onsite
* No RTO permitted during orientation week
* Maximum of 7 days of RTO per contract
* Holiday coverage expected: if 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if 3 holidays fall during assignment, 1 holiday RTO may be considered
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

This facility is a large health system offering comprehensive cardiovascular and surgical services. The organization maintains high clinical standards and conducts a clinical screening process to ensure proper candidate fit prior to manager review. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory and interpretation services, and operates a robust CVOR program performing a wide range of complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures.
