Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts with variable start times, schedule determined by manager
* Day shift with varied start times
* One weekend of call per month required for both RNs and CSTs
* One call night per week required for both RNs and CSTs
* 30-minute call response time required
* Holiday work only required in emergency situations
* Scrubs are provided
* No floating required
* Orientation length depends on individual skillset
* 7 OR suites with 15-20 cases per day
* Common case types include high-volume orthopedics (total joints), general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, and ophthalmology
* Travelers will not be assigned to cardiac cases (open heart, carotid endarterectomies, TAVRs)
* Scrubbing preferred but not required for RNs
* Charting system: Cerner Surginet
* Telemetry system: Phillips
* Sterile processing technicians must be certified through IAHCSMM
* Equipment used includes autoclave (Steris & V-pro)
* Required certifications: BLS, CST
* BSN not required
* 2 years of OR experience required
* Travel experience preferred

This acute care facility operates a well-equipped operating room department with 7 OR suites handling 15-20 cases per day. The facility offers a broad range of surgical services including orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, and ophthalmology, supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy services and an on-call surgical team. The organization maintains a structured and supportive environment with charge nurse coverage, OR technicians on staff, and access to a comprehensive charting system.
