Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 1 weekend shift per month - Friday evening through Monday AM every 4-5 weeks
* Call requirements include 2 weekday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM and weekend call every 4-5 weeks starting Friday at 7:00 PM through Monday AM at 6:30 AM
* Two call teams rotating every 12 hours from 1st to 2nd call - provider is not on primary call the entire weekend
* Holiday call may apply if it falls on scheduled rotation
* Must be willing to stay until all cases are completed
* Must be willing to take call and maintain flexible scheduling
* Average daily census of 35-45 patients with 1:1 staffing ratio
* Perform procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, shockwave, IVUS, Penumbra, TAVR, Watchman, and structural valve procedures
* Must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab diagnostic and intervention including structural cardiology
* Treat adult cardiology and structural cardiology patients
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT(R)
* Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
* Required skills include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, left heart catheterization, scrub procedures, sterile field maintenance, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and room circulator duties
* Special equipment includes Cerner EHR, Siemens Artiz Z & Q radiology equipment, Impella, IABP, Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS, CTO-Abbott, and Shockwave
* Charting system: Cerner - experience required
* Scrubs provided
* Free parking for travelers
* Active WV license required to start assignment; ARRT registration required
* RCIS or RCES credentials are NOT eligible - WV does not consider RCIS as licensed to work in the Cath Lab
* No floating to sister facilities required

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center operating as a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). With 838 total staffed beds, the facility operates a very busy Cath Lab supporting a wide range of advanced cardiac and structural procedures. The organization provides comprehensive cardiovascular services and maintains modern imaging and interventional equipment to support complex patient care needs.
