RN - 2 South Surgical/Trauma

Job Details:

* Work on a 24-bed Surgical/Trauma unit with a patient ratio of 1:5, with a maximum of 1:6
* Unit staffing includes 1 unit secretary on days and 2 techs on days and nights
* Every other weekend required
* Floating policy determined based on house needs
* Patient population consists exclusively of post-operative and trauma patients
* Pathways available for individual surgeons and physicians as a resource for easy orientation and familiarity
* Minimum 2 years of med/surg or orthopedic experience required; post-operative care and trauma experience preferred
* Requested skill set includes post-op care management with a multidisciplinary team
* Active RN license required
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Equipment used includes Hill Rom, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Required dress code: Royal Blue scrubs; black, white, or royal blue jackets allowed

Facility:

This 354-bed facility is located near the Georgia-South Carolina border and is well known for operating the largest burn center in the country, seeing more than 3,000 patients annually. The facility also features a Human Motion Institute, an emergency room recognized for the shortest wait times in the area, and a full range of medical services including a Digestive Disease Center, Pelvic Health Institute, and Stroke Center. The unit has been recognized as a patient experience award winner in 2022 Q1, Q2, Q4 and 2023 Q1 and Q2, and staff members praise the facility's culture and the strong managerial support they receive.
