RN - CVOR

Job Details:

* Work 4 shifts of 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Mandatory call required 1-2 nights per week, including days and weekends
* 1 weekend of 1st call per month and 1 weekend of 2nd call per month possible
* Holiday call may be required
* Floating to General OR or BNI OR possible
* Approximately 7 cases per day with a maximum of 15 cases per day across 6 OR suites and 1 Hybrid OR
* Common cases include open heart, vascular, endoscopic, thoracic, esophageal, general, hepatobiliary, and transplants (lung, liver, and kidney)
* Charge nurse responsibilities possible
* Scrub color: Steel Blue
* Charting system: Cerner/Surginet
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* CNOR preferred but not required
* BSN not required
* Trauma Level 1, Acute Care setting
* Must successfully complete Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
* Must demonstrate competency in maintaining sterile field

Facility:

This Level 1 Trauma acute care facility operates multiple OR suites including a Hybrid OR, supporting a wide range of complex cardiovascular and surgical procedures. The facility uses Cerner/Surginet as its electronic medical records system and maintains high clinical standards, including mandatory SIMs Lab competency evaluations for all incoming nursing staff. The organization supports a collaborative surgical team environment with CSTs on staff and experienced charge nurses.
