Opportunity:
Critical Care Respiratory Therapist
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts available for both days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
* Every third weekend requirement with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday coverage
* Every other holiday requirement
* On-call not required; occasional off-shift volunteer call needs from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM with a 1-hour response time
* Cover all adult units and emergency department, including pediatric patients while in the ED
* Perform ABGs and CBGs in intensive care units
* Provide EKG department coverage overnight and when additional coverage is needed
* Assist with intubation and may place laryngeal airway (King airway) during code blue situations
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
* Must have trauma level 2 or 3 experience
* Critical care experience required
* State of Wisconsin RT license required
* Charting system: Cerner
* Equipment includes ventilators (Servo U, Servo I, PB840, Hamilton T1), BiPAP/CPAP (V-60, V-30, ResMeds), high flow (Vapotherm), INOmax Plus, Oscillators, Cough Assist, and Volara
* Any color scrubs permitted; supportive footwear encouraged
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
Facility:
This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with comprehensive inpatient and emergency department services. The facility maintains neonatologists and hospitalists in-house 24/7, along with intensivists in the ICUs around the clock. A dedicated respiratory therapy leadership team is on-site, including a system director, manager, supervisor, and a lead RT assigned to each shift, ensuring strong support for all respiratory therapy staff.
