Opportunity:

Outpatient PEDs PT

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (any 8 hours between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM)
* No on-call required
* No floating required
* Minimum 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience required - hard stop
* Must be able to work independently
* First-time travelers accepted
* Daily patient load of 7 patients with productivity standards of 7-8 patients per hour day
* Patient age groups include infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* Pediatric PT caseload includes developmental delay, torticollis, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic injuries
* Must be proficient and independent in outpatient services (medical-based PT, not school-based)
* Must be independent with assessments; most used assessment tool is the PDMS-2
* Acute care experience preferred as therapists may float into the acute hospital if outpatient census is low
* Pediatric home health or outpatient experience accepted
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Free parking available
* All requested time off must be included at time of submission; approval based on facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Required certifications: BLS and valid California PT license (must be in hand at time of start)
* Skills required include: acute care, adaptive equipment, AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, discharge planning, early intervention programs, evaluation, home exercise program, milestone assessment, outpatient clinic, pain assessment, patient/family education, pediatrics, plan of care, reassessments, scoliosis, and torticollis

Facility:

This is a 212-bed acute care hospital featuring a small, hospital-based, full-service outpatient clinic offering physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services. The outpatient clinic provides comprehensive pediatric physical therapy focused on developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment supporting both outpatient and acute care patient populations.
