Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts required
* 4 total weekend shifts per 4-week period
* Holidays scheduled based on unit coverage and worked into permanent staff rotation
* Patient ratio of 1:4-5
* 30-bed unit specializing in transplant post-op, Whipple procedures, spine, orthopedic joints, and trauma cases
* Level 1 Trauma experience required
* Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
* Charting system: Cerner EMR
* Telemetry equipment: Phillips
* Ventilator experience with BiPAP and CPAP required
* Navy scrub color required
* Natural hair color required and no facial piercings permitted
* Men must be clean shaven for fit test
* Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - 2 attempts allowed
* Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab covering Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
* 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
* First to float to Med/Surg Telemetry and possibly other campuses
* SWAT RN IV team available
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
* Must have own personal vehicle
* Must reside within 50-mile radius - driver's license used as source of truth

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive surgical, orthopedic, and trauma services. The facility features a dedicated trauma and surgical unit with 30 beds and a high volume of complex cases including transplant surgeries and Whipple procedures. The organization supports staff with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, a SWAT RN IV team, and a charge nurse who is dedicated solely to unit management without taking a patient assignment.
