Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Variable weekend schedule with every other weekend required
* No on-call requirements
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
* Active Texas RN license required; temporary license will not be accepted
* Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
* Work in a 23-bed emergency department with a 4:1 patient ratio
* Perform standard ED procedures in a Level IV trauma center
* Work within a primary stroke center and chest pain accredited facility with PCI (STEMI 24/7) capabilities
* Use standard ED equipment and document in Meditech system
* Float to other units as needed
* Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
* No artificial nails, gel, next gen, or similar nail enhancements permitted
* Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; no extreme styles or colors
* Body art must be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
* Shoes must be constructed of non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles; breathable mesh athletic shoes without leather or man-made uppers are not permitted

Facility:

This facility features a 23-bed emergency department staffed entirely by registered nurses, with technicians stationed at the lobby and secretarial support. The emergency department operates as a Level IV trauma center and serves as a primary stroke center and chest pain accredited facility with PCI capabilities available 24/7. The unit utilizes the Meditech documentation system and maintains a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio to support high-quality patient care.
