RRT - Critical Care
Job Details:
* Must have ability to work in all critical care areas including NICU, adult ICU, ED, and basic floor therapy
* Every other weekend shift required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* 12 orientation hours required
* Self-scheduling
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, Tracheostomy care/management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Weaning from mechanical ventilation, and additional respiratory therapy competencies
* Patient age groups served: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, and Unit Secretary
Facility:
This facility is a large healthcare organization with 103 beds and a daily census of 85 patients. The facility supports a wide range of critical care specialties including NICU, adult ICU, and emergency department services. Comprehensive interdisciplinary support is available on-site, including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretarial support, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for patient care.
