Job Details:

* Position will float between units based on unit needs
* On-call required for weekday nights, weekends, and holidays
* Weekend call required once a month
* Weekends not routinely required
* Block scheduling not required
* Patient ratio is 1:1
* 7 operating rooms with a daily census of 20 patients
* Patients are adult age group
* Charting system is Epic (experience required)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of OR RN experience required
* Charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must be proficient with the Mako Surgical System
* Special experience required in Ortho Mako, GYN, Sports Medicine, and Ortho Total Joints
* Required skills include but are not limited to: total joint replacement, spinal fusion, laminectomy/discectomy, laparoscopic procedures, arthroscopy, lumbar fusion, cervical fusions, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and hysterectomy procedures
* Additional skills required: electrosurgical units, Hana Table, Steris, malignant hyperthermia protocol, fire safety, infection control, and universal protocol (time out) procedure
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

This healthcare facility is a community hospital offering a wide range of surgical services across multiple specialties including orthopedics, spine, gynecology, and sports medicine. The operating room department consists of 7 rooms supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility utilizes advanced surgical technology including the Mako Surgical System and maintains high standards for patient safety and care quality.
