Float Pool - RN

Job Details:

* Float pool position requiring flexibility to float to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratios: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
* No on-call requirements
* Holiday coverage required based on assignment period - if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2 of them
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required charting system: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, central line care/management, arterial line management, chest tubes, tracheostomy care/management, wound care/wound vac, PCA, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, lift teams, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
* Hospital consists of 5 MS/MS Tele departments, 1 cardiac telemetry department, 1 neuro intermediate unit, and 2 PCU units
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
