Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with 48 hours approved per week
* Some weekend shifts required
* Float between units required, including Mother/Baby or functionally elsewhere in facility
* No on-call required
* Block scheduling type
* Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Any color for RNs
* No parking fee
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
* Experience with high-risk Labor and Delivery required, including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
* Skills required include: triage of obstetrical patients, IUPC placement and calibration, central line maintenance (CVC/PICC), anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, assisting with high-risk delivery, circulating and recovering for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and NST/OCT
* Experience working with patient diagnoses including pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, multiple gestation, placenta previa/abruptio, preterm labor, VBAC management, and malpresentations
* Proficiency with external and internal fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and spiral electrode placement required
* Experience administering blood and blood products, pitocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline, magnesium sulfate, and antiseizure medications required
* Neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and breastfeeding/lactation support skills required
* Experience with epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, IV conscious sedation, nitrous oxide, opioids, and PCA management preferred
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Valid WA or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal; post-submission RTO will not be approved

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, also designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it supports a robust interdisciplinary care environment that includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretaries, and more. The Labor and Delivery unit manages approximately 3,600 deliveries per year, averaging 200?300 births per month, and specializes in high-risk MFM patients, cardiac patients, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, PUBS, cerclages, and versions across 25 rooms and 27 beds.
