Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist - OR

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour shifts per week
* Assist during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field
* Provide instrumentation as needed to the surgical team
* Maintain expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique
* Apply knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies during invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
* Maintain and check all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity, sterile indicators, and expiration dates
* Ensure operating room environment is safe and that equipment functions properly
* Monitor sterile field for events that may contaminate, interfere, or alter the field and initiate or notify of need for corrective action
* Work towards competency or demonstrate competency with Tier 1 surgical cases
* Participate in Time Out Process including Briefings and Debriefings
* Assist team in patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation
* Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
* Must be able to stand approximately 50% and walk approximately 20% of the workday
* Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
* Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist required
* Active Surgical Technologist license in the state of Colorado required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association required
* Must possess computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements
