Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays
* Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on patient acuity
* Unit is staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
* Work with equipment including nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes
* Document using CPN and Meditech systems
* Float policy requires contract staff to float before permanent staff to areas including PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU caring for patients 2 years and under
* Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience required
* Experience with premature infants (at least 28 weeks and above) required
* Management of central lines required
* Respiratory management up to and including intubated patients required
* Experience with surgical patients, cardiac patients, and patients under 27 weeks preferred
* Experience with care of trach infants and broviacs preferred
* Procedures performed on unit include central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Required dress code: Royal blue scrubs

This facility operates a large 108-bed NICU housed in the North Tower, offering comprehensive neonatal intensive care services. The unit provides advanced care for critically ill and premature newborns, performing complex procedures such as PDA ligations, gastroschisis reductions, and central line insertions. The multidisciplinary team environment supports a wide range of neonatal needs from respiratory management to surgical care.
