Opportunity:

Registered Dietitian

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
* Weekend coverage required every third week with some holiday coverage as needed
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated and no time off requests within the first 2 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required
* Active RD/RDN certification required - pending licensure not accepted
* Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Proficiency in EPIC charting system required
* Experience in healthcare food and nutrition service operations or comparable experience required
* Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint required
* Experience with Computrition application preferred
* Complete nutrition assessments and reassessments for adult patient population
* Perform calorie counts, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) management
* Conduct Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) and develop plans of treatment
* Provide therapeutic diet orders and manage protein calorie malnutrition cases
* Coordinate plan of care in conjunction with the registered dietitian and interdepartmental medical staff
* Contribute to fiscal management of food service operations
* Must be able to stand and walk for the greater portion of the assigned shift
* Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing

This large acute care facility operates with a daily census of approximately 980 patients and serves an adult patient population. The facility supports a multidisciplinary care environment where dietitians collaborate closely with medical and support personnel to meet patient care goals.
