Opportunity:

RN - Infusion

Job Details:

* Administer IV medications and therapies following established standards while monitoring patient responses and ensuring patient comfort and safety
* Manage scheduling, prior authorizations, and clinical order reviews
* Maintain effective communication with providers, payers, and care teams
* Provide personalized education to patients and families about treatment plans and document teaching efforts
* Maintain thorough and timely documentation in electronic health records, medication administration logs, and transfusion records
* Infusion RN and port experience required
* Minimum of two years RN experience required
* One year of acute care experience preferred
* BSN required
* Current Vermont or multi-state compact Registered Nurse license required
* Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
* Preferred certification: Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI)
* Travelers will start on Wednesdays
* Travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours during the week of orientation due to midweek start
* Reliable personal transportation is essential as public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the area

Facility:

This community, not-for-profit, acute care critical access hospital serves the health needs of over 33,000 people across two counties. The facility offers a comprehensive range of services including primary and preventive care, surgical and specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services. The infusion center sees approximately 15 to 20 patients per day in a busy and collaborative environment. The hospital is one of only two Vermont hospitals designated Baby Friendly by the World Health Organization and employs more than 700 dedicated staff members.
