Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
* Every other weekend required with Saturday and Sunday designated as weekend shifts for both days and nights
* Required to work 2 Fridays per schedule; most staff group Friday with weekend shifts working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday consecutively
* Patient ratios of 1:6-7
* Self-scheduling and blocked schedules allowed as long as unit needs are met
* 1 shift orientation with a preceptor provided
* Float only to other MedSurg units
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrub color: Navy blue; jackets if worn must also be navy blue
* Care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end of life, and chemotherapy patients
* May be assigned to both clean and dirty patient hallways simultaneously; must be comfortable with this
* Manage patients on remote telemetry monitored by monitor tech on the 3rd floor; no monitors on unit
* Administer Heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures; no cardiac drips
* Work with BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen all managed per respiratory therapy
* Must provide a copy of an unexpired driver's license at time of submission
* Any hits on professional license must be disclosed at time of submission
