RN - LDRP

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a block scheduling basis
* Schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts per week
* Every third weekend required
* Holiday shifts required depending on availability
* 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
* Float to med-surgical/ED for helping hands, mostly sitting 1:1 with patients as needed
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* BSN not required
* Care for patients 35+ weeks in labor and mom/baby couplets in a unit with 4 L&D beds and 7 postpartum beds
* Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios: Labor 1:1-2, Postpartum 1:2-3
* Titrate drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, and Zofran for antepartum/labor patients
* Administer postpartum medications including Prenatal vitamins, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, and Toradol
* Work with neonatal respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow
* Utilize OB Trace Vue EFM system and MEDITECH charting system
* Circulate for the baby during C-sections; surgery team leads the procedure
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* Facial hair must be removed if unable to pass required fit testing; failure to comply may result in contract cancellation

Facility:

This is a rural critical access hospital offering acute care services with a dedicated LDRP unit. The facility operates with a strong emphasis on teamwork, provider consistency, and independent clinical practice. The unit supports labor and delivery as well as postpartum care, with surgical services available for C-sections. Due to its rural location, the nearest NICU is more than one hour away, making clinical knowledge and sound independent judgment essential for success in this role.
