Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* General Med Surg unit serving adult to geriatric patient population
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
* Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission - no schedule requests can be made post offer or on-site
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* 12 orientation hours required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Epic charting system experience required; also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required skills include: Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw, Chest Tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Heparin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Nasal Cannula, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen Administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, Starting and Maintaining IVs, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical Drains, Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
