Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule with start times at 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:45 PM
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed to meet facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* 100 mile radius restriction - locals not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required case types: CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* Preferred case experience: XI robotics
* Facility operates 20 OR rooms with 40-50 cases per day
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve replacement, Pericardial window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Laparoscopic assisted cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), and Vein stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic assisted cases, Lung resection - Thoracotomy, and VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
* Requested time off should ideally not exceed 5 days

Facility:

This acute care teaching hospital operates 317 staffed beds and holds a Level 3 trauma designation. The facility features a large surgical services department with 20 operating rooms handling 40-50 cases per day across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and robotic surgery. The organization utilizes Epic (Excellian) as its charting system and maintains high standards of surgical care across multiple service lines.
