Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac/Telemetry (5 North)

Job Details:

* 3x12 day shift schedule
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Half of contract weekends required
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Charting system experience required; Epic system used
* Care for adults ranging from young adult through geriatric patients
* Priority admission patients include those recovering from cardiac interventions such as cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant
* Also care for hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients
* Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care/management, PCA, peripheral line care/management, feeding tube care and management, sheath removal, and accessing/managing ports
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy

This facility features a dedicated cardiac unit with 36 private rooms, providing specialized medical cardiac care in a well-supported environment. The unit is equipped with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services and focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients recovering from cardiac interventions and procedures. The organization maintains strong staffing standards and utilizes the Epic charting system to support clinical excellence.
