Opportunity:
RN - L&D/LDRP
Job Details:
* Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
* Appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
* Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family
* Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
* Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
* Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
* Serve as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
* Circulate during C-Sections and attend deliveries, assisting the physician as needed
* Follow appropriate policies during recovery and care of surgical patients
* Attend the neonatal station in the C-Section suite and completely assess the neonate post delivery
* Attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years
* NRP certified and attend STABLE certification class if offered
* Identify and communicate necessary information to physicians and patients
* May be required to float to another unit depending on facility census as helping hands or as a sitter
* Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and L&D/LDRP required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (must be through the American Heart Association)
* Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license required
