Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with shift times of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* ANM shift times are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* CAP Only: Will switch from Days to Nights the last 4 weeks of assignment
* Schedule is made in 6-week increments and released 2 weeks prior to schedule start
* Block schedule cannot be guaranteed - will be utilized to fill in gaps in schedule
* Every other weekend rotation required, though may be variable based on need
* No mandatory call requirements
* Holiday rotation required on a fair and equitable basis
* Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; 5+ years preferred; first-time travelers accepted upon review
* ANM candidates must have solid Charge Nurse experience and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
* EPIC experience is required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)
* High acuity experience required: labor management and delivery of high-risk OB patients, triage of OB patients, circulating in OR, cervical checks, reading and interpreting fetal monitoring strips
* Ability to serve as second set of hands to receive and recover normal newborns as needed
* ANM will function as Charge Nurse each shift, occasionally taking patient assignments, managing OB ED patients, staff rounding, conflict resolution, and education
* Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 non-active laboring, 1:2-3 antepartum dependent on acuity
* High acuity patient population includes hypertension, magnesium administration, C-sections, preterm labor, vaginal deliveries, epidurals, inductions, antepartum, PROM, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage
* Equipment used includes Alaris CareFusion IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Centricity/Qx fetal surveillance monitors, CAD Solaris epidural pumps, Panda Warmers, and Covidien SCDs
* Floating may be required within antepartum and postpartum units; no floating required for ANM
* Scrubs are provided by the facility and are not to be worn outside of the facility
* Free badge access parking available in designated areas

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level IV NICU with 34 Labor & Delivery beds, including 15 labor rooms, 12 antepartum beds, 4 OB ED rooms, and 3 operating rooms, along with 18 postpartum beds. The unit supports up to 300 deliveries per month and maintains a robust support structure including CNAs, scrub techs, charge nurses, phlebotomy services, respiratory therapy available 24/7, laborists available 24/7, and dedicated break nurses each shift. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record system and is equipped with advanced technology to support high-acuity obstetric care.
