Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour mid shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
* On-call required: up to 2 call shifts (7:00 AM?7:00 PM or 7:00 PM?7:00 AM on Saturday or Sunday) per 4-week scheduling period
* Weekend requirement: up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
* Holiday requirement: must work at least one holiday period (Christmas: December 24?26 or New Year's: December 31?January 1)
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities may be required
* 2 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, Radiation Badge (to be provided by agency)
* Level I trauma experience required
* Scrub experience strongly preferred
* RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
* Surgical specialties include Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
* Patient age groups served: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Block schedule available upon manager approval dependent on unit needs
* Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The Main Operating Room consists of 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties and is supported by a nursing team comprised of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists. The department is a busy, nurse-driven environment that provides cutting-edge technology and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
