Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday coverage required when there is need
* No call or standby requirements
* Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification
* Must maintain 50-mile radius rule and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
* Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments
* Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or higher score
* One week of classroom orientation followed by 2-3 floor shifts
* Epic charting system used
* BSN not required
* Care for obstetric, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and pregnancy with hypertension or diabetes patients
* Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios: 1:3 general, 1:1 for laboring patients
* Required to titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
* Work with 15 LDRP beds handling approximately 400 births per year
* Floating only occurs during critical staffing situations for sitting or task duties
* Charge nurse on each shift who takes patient assignments
