Opportunity:

RN - Pediatric OR

Job Details:

* 10-hour day shifts with variable start times of 6:45 AM or 8:45 AM
* Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends required
* Variable shifts based on department need, with rotation by week when possible
* 1 to 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Ability to float to other UCSF campuses required
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Pediatric General OR experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Ambulatory OR, CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, and Trauma experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: CA RN License, BSN, BLS, PALS
* CNOR certification preferred
* Surgical scrub skills required across multiple specialties including General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedic, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, Podiatry, Trauma, Vascular, and Laparoscopic procedures
* Experience with pediatric patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics required
* Procedures include but are not limited to: craniotomy, spinal fusion, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, cardiac procedures, and orthopedic and reconstructive surgeries
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal

This children's hospital is a comprehensive pediatric medical center featuring 11 surgical suites and 2 procedural rooms with a primary focus on a multidisciplinary team-based approach to patient care. The facility offers a wide range of surgical services including Neurology, Orthopedic/Spine, Otolaryngology, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Dental, Cardiac, General Surgery, GI, and Hematology/Oncology. The organization is part of a larger university health system and maintains high standards for clinical expertise and patient care across its network of campuses.
