Opportunity:

RN - Peds PACU/Pre Op

Job Details:

* 10-hour day shifts
* Primary position located at Walnut Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center
* Ability to float to other UCSF campuses and facilities within a 75+ mile radius
* Patient ratio of 1:2 during day shifts
* Daily census of 10-20 patients with 10 rooms and 10 beds
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, and pediatrics
* Patient diagnoses include OHNS, orthopedics, eyes, and dentistry
* Perform airway assessment, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, and administration of emergency medications
* Experience with Phase I PACU, Phase II recovery, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
* Procedures include ENT, general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, tonsillectomy, and local anesthesia cases
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Minimum 2 years of Peds PACU/Pre Op experience required
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* 2 references from most recent employer required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* BSN required
* California RN license required
